CAMPAIGN ACTIVITY - Chief Medical Officer - England
by David Staniforth
Proffessor Dame Sally Davis
Take Time Out has written to the Chief Medical Officers for England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales to ask them for support in our awareness campaign and initative to ensure robust advice and reminders are incorporated onto the actual games and not on seperate websites.
A Department of health campaign was recently launched (11/7/2011) to promote physical activity and make citizens aware of the dangers of being sedentary - it specifically mentions Video Games
You can view and download the advice from www.dh.gov.uk
The programme "Start Active - Stay active" is a whole of life initiative and is well worth looking at as the advice is split into different age groups.
